Tiny Gray Bugs In Bathroom
While bugs are quite common around the home there are certain types of insects that specifically can be found in the bathroom.
Tiny gray bugs in bathroom. Similarly carpenter ants needing water to survive primarily attack wet wood. These tiny bathroom bugs will usually seek refuge in wall voids behind baseboards and under floors. Silverfish have slender pearl gray or silver colored bodies without wings. Mold mites are teeny tiny white to tan bugs that feed on mold.
They are a reddish brown color and usually have a bright yellow or orange underside with black patches. The moisture in bathrooms along with the opportunity for concealment in sink and tub drains provide the perfect habitat for many types of bugs. Springtails are very small insects that jump around when disturbed much like fleas. Due to prime conditions of high moisture food sources and places to hide the bathroom is the location where many insects take up residence.
Springtails are tiny insects. Their size ranges from 0 25 to 6 mm. In addition to feeding on mold these silvery gray pests favor moist and humid habitats. Last week i diluted some bleach on a cloth and wiped down the sills.
What it looks like. That seems to have helped. Need to ask why is the mold growing on your wall in the first place. The small fast moving grey bugs that often appear in bathrooms and other moist indoor areas are called silverfish.
Drain flies have long gray hairs that cover their bodies giving them a blurred appearance like moth. That wingless little bug about 2mm long feeds on mold growing in the wall ceiling. Remove the mold and the bug problem goes away. When drain flies become adults this bug has a length of only 0 2 to 0 3 inches with long hairy appear antenna.
They seek and need moisture to live and therefore often appear in bathrooms. The insect has scales and the mature adult is about one third to a half inch long. Eliminating both cockroaches and water bugs requires extensive pest control because they could be getting in the home from just about anywhere. Silverfish are insects often seen in cool damp dark areas.
They are so light and tiny i have almost thought they were dust at times. Constant moisture in the bathroom can cause mildew and mold to grow and when it does mold mites may become a problem. This summer i have been noticing these itsy bitsy little gray bugs on my window sills in the kitchen and bathroom.
